Casting onto your tv will depend on both your device and your tv itself, but here are few basic guidelines to help you if you have the necessary equipment:
- With Apple TV:
- Turn on your tv and Apple TV.
- Open your browser (we recommend Safari or Google Chrome) and find the page of the video you'd like to cast.
- On your top menu bar (Apple computers) or on the video itself you will see the "airplay" icon (looks like a box with a triangle bottom supporting it), click it and select your Apple TV device and it should automatically cast your screen onto the tv (pictures below for examples).
- Expand the video into fullscreen and you're all set!
- With Google Chromecast/Roku:
- Turn on your tv and ensure your Google Chromecast/Roku is on and set (you may need to adjust your tv's input to the right HDMI input).
- Open your browser, (we recommend Google Chrome for these devices), find the page of the video you'd like to cast, then on the top browser menu, select "View" > "Cast".
- Select your tv's device, then open the video into fullscreen to take up your tv's screen.
- With these devices, sound may or may not be automatically cast and may need separate configuration.
- If you experience any issues with casting with Chromecast via your mobile, try using this free Chromecast Streamer app. If you'd like to see how this works, this video can help you out.
- With smart TV's:
- This will depend on your tv's brand and capability, some needing to open particular tv apps, while some may cast automatically. Please see your tv's instruction manual for more assistance.
