We have a variety of yoga classes for everyone and are excited to get you started on your yoga journey!
While beginning a yoga practice may be exciting and you may want to try various poses you've seen, please remember that your yoga practice is much more than just the physical aspect and isn't about perfecting poses. It's important to listen to your own body and adjust your practice to suit your mood, body, and emotional state (even when the ego tries to do otherwise!) Do not do anything that hurts or feels painful; this may mean easing out of a pose, trying a different variation of a pose that your body is happy with, as well as experimenting with available props.
An important part of the yoga practice (some may argue it's THE most important part of the yoga practice) is the ability to remain present throughout each breath, shape, and energy exchange. No matter how you show up to your mat or what poses you practice (or choose not to), if you are working to remain present with the body and breath, you are doing it right! Moving your senses inward, into feeling, into presence, is ultimately what yoga is all about.
If you find yourself feeling frustrated, comparing to others (including a past version of yourself), or are particularly challenged, use that as your opportunity not to give up, but rather to come back to the breath, pause, and reset. Yoga is a lifelong practice toward the liberation of self, and while it's meant to bring balance, peace, and joy within, it is not always easy! Be kind to yourself and your body along the way, and watch the magic continue to unfold with time, practice, and dedication.

- Relax - Looking to wind down after a long or stressful day? These classes are for you. These are typically beginner-friendly and great for all levels. To fully enjoy these classes, we recommend building up your prop collection!
- Sweat - Sometimes all we need to get out of our heads is a good sweat! These detoxifying classes will get your heart pumping and will leave you feeling refreshed and clear-headed.
- Uplift - Need a pick-me-up or just a mood-lifter? These classes are not only fun but also encouraging and empowering.
- Focus - What body part or area of the body do you want to work on?
- Guide - Choose your favorite teacher!
- Level - Starting out, we suggest you try Level 1, and progressing into Level 1+ and so on over time. Level 1+ is considered "all-levels" meaning they are accessible for beginner's as well, but depending on where you are at in your practice, you may feel more comfortable trying less advanced expressions of poses, modifying with props, resting even if there isn't a cue to do so, or omitting poses that you don't feel prepared to do yet. The important part of any class is that you give it a try and just do your best! It's called a yoga practice for a reason ;)
- Style - There are many different styles of yoga, all depending on preference or what you're feeling in the moment:
- Gentle - These classes are slower paced and gentle enough for all levels, ages, and abilities.
- Hatha - The more traditional form of yoga; some poses are held for longer periods, rather than moving continuously in a "flow". Many of these classes are beginner-friendly and are a great foundation for any practice to build strength and become comfortable with the poses.
- Meditation - Learn how to quiet the mind and be in the moment with guided meditations.
- Postnatal - Find gentle classes for right after giving birth.
- Pranayama - Breathing techniques and practices to develop and strengthen the lungs while lowering stress and anxiety.
- Prenatal - Classes for if you are pregnant and still looking for a safe practice. Many of the Level 1 or 1+ classes are also safe for those that are pregnant, but we suggest avoiding twists, belly-down poses, deep backbends, laying flat on the back, and inversions if inversions weren't part of your practice pre-pregnancy.
- Primal Yoga® - Developed by our guide, Liz Arch, this style of yoga is a dynamic fusion of yoga and martial arts focused on empowerment and self-healing.
- Restorative - These classes are all about restoration, relaxing, and de-stressing. Props are highly suggested to fully enjoy many of these classes.
- Vinyasa Flow - These classes start slow, build up to a faster pace or "flow", and then slow back down again. These are the most popular classes on yogagirl.com and are great for a well-rounded class.
- Yin - Similar to Restorative Yoga classes, Yin-style classes are slow, relaxing, and all about deepening. You will move through poses at a very gentle pace, holding each one for an extended period of time to allow the body time to truly relax into each pose.
- Astrology - Not quite Yoga, but still fun! These short videos will give you some insight into astrology and how you can use it as a tool alongside your yoga practice for self-care and wellbeing.
- Time - Short on time? Have hours to kill? Choose how long you want your practice to be and your search will be narrowed down.
- Mood - Find a class no matter what "mood" you're in!
